As a Cathay member, you can take advantage of exclusive offers and earn miles every time you rent a car with Avis. 

  • Earn 500 miles per qualifying rental on retail leisure, non-contracted rates

  • Book online or via call centres and remember to quote your Cathay membership number at the time of reservation.

  1. Cathay members can earn up to 500 miles per rental when booking via any of Avis websites directly or call centres.
  2. Cathay members can earn additional 100 miles per rental when making reservation on this website.
  3. To take part in special promotions, please make sure to select Cathay membership tier on Customer Type during reservation process.
  4. Self-drive rentals with Avis Prestige, Avis Select Series, Avis Signature Series, van rentals and chauffeur-drive services do not qualify for Asia Miles. Miles cannot be earned on travel industry staff rates, replacement/insurance rates, selected association programmes, monthly rentals, award rentals and nett rate programmes.
  5. Miles can only be earned on one frequent flyer programme for each qualifying self-drive rental at participating locations.
  6. Cathay members will be eligible to earn miles only if the name in the rental agreement matches the name in the Cathay membership account.
  7. Renters can only claim miles for their own rentals, i.e. only one rental at a time.
  8. Consecutive or conjunctive rentals will not qualify for Asia Miles – only the first qualifying rental in such situations will be awarded Asia Miles.
  9. Always show your Cathay membership card when you pick up your vehicle.
  10. If any other AWD number is present in the rental booking, no bonus Asia Miles will be awarded.
  11. If any other AWD number is present in a customer’s Avis Preferred profile and this is used in the rental booking, no bonus Asia Miles will be awarded and once booked, this cannot be reversed.
  12. Promotional miles or any additional miles cannot be retro claimed.
  13. Miles will only be credited into your account within 6 to 8 weeks after the completion of eligible car rental.
  14. Missing mileage claims must be made within 180 days of the conclusion of each qualifying rental.
  15. To claim missing miles, original Car Rental Agreement copy is required. Members are required to retain copies of these until Asia Miles are credited to members’ accounts.
  16. Renters must meet standard Avis age, driver and credit requirements.
  17. Offers may not be used in conjunction with any other discount, promotion or offer other than those valid on this website and are subject to availability.
